How was it to work with Jean-Claude Van Damme?
It was incredible! It was a dream that came true. I am a big fan since Bloodsport. I have watched all his films over and over. Thanks to Jean-Claude Van Damme, I started working for film and television 10 years ago.
It was an honour to work with him: his experience, his professionalism, his physical skills, … I am a bigger fan now than I was
before! The pictures of me and him have a very special place in my gym.

What was your job in ‘JCVD’?
I worked as a stunt and fight coordinator and advisor for the special forces (GIGN) in the movie. The director also offered me a small role. I also had a fight against Jean-Claude Van Damme. I was a little bit nervous, but everything went very well.

How did you get this job?
The last 10 years, I have been working for film and television in Belgium and abroad. Mabrouk El Mechri, the director, wanted to meet me. He was still looking for a stunt and fight coordinator. After the meeting I gave him a dvd with my work. I got the job as a coordinator, and also a role.

Was it a tough job?
Yes, it certainly was. Everyday we worked for at least 10 hours. Late at night, we often had a party. I didn’t sleep that much during this film.
What was your role in the film?
I am Eric, a doctor working for the police. I had the opportunity to fight against Jean-Claude Van Damme. His physique is amazing. He is a very strong man and kicks very
hard!
What are your plans for the future?
I just finished ‘Diamant 13’, a movie with Gerard Depardieu. In this movie, I fight against Gerard Depardieu.
In Belgium, I received a lot of positive reactions. I have been offered lots of roles in television series and movies. I also continue my work as a stunt and fight coordinator.
I hope that Jean-Claude Van Damme offers me a role in his next project. We still have a good contact.

What do you prefer? Working as an actor or working as a stuntman?
Working as a stuntman or stunt and fight coordinator is a job that pays very good.
But if tomorrow they ask me to become the next Jean-Claude Van Damme? I wouldn’t hesitate a
second!!
