Derailed
Directed by Bob Misiorowski, 2002

Directed in Eastern Europe (Germany) by Bob Misiorowski on a budget of $ 20 million, Derailed is an action thriller whose plot resembles a mix between Speed and Die Hard.

Van Damme stars as Jacques Kristoff, a secret agent assigned to put a stop to the activities of a group of terrorists, who are on a train moving full-steam towards Berlin. The latter well intend to use their bacteriological weapons to arrive at their destructive ends. Kristoff's wife and two kids chose their day to surprise him badly, as they are also aboard the doomed train...

Also starring in the film are Tomas Arana (Quintus in Gladiator), Mexican Laura Elena Harring (John Q, Mulholland Drive) and the real son of Jean-Claude Van Damme, Kristopher (who has already appeared in The Quest, the first directorial effort by the Jean Claude).
